You have probably noticed a pattern observing how the world works; sometimes, at first glance, it may look like that everywhere you go you see certain forces in action; there is corruption, modern slavery, war, financial abuse and more than average “evil” stuff going on in the world.
Sometimes, it seems that the powerful ones on this world are in fact those who create the problems in the first place!
When was last time that the great powers of this world got together to eliminate war, fix inequality, or solve world hunger for that matter?
It’s never really on the program, is it?
Of course, they pretend it’s on the program at first in order to have the “nice people” in their back pockets, but that is only a typical and political bull-shit move on their part.
The reason why often power is often perceived as evil is because every bad situation carries the possibility for something positive, such as more money or simply more raw power.
Look at yourself, on a small personal level; if you lack resources, it’s going to make you more creative, thus giving you access to guerilla-warfare-type of strategies. If you’re pushed against the wall, it’s going trigger your adrenaline and bring the best out of you. If you’re running out of time, you’re going to optimise the way you work.
In opposition, when things are good and run really smoothly, you relax, you enjoy, grow comfort, arrogance and laziness. Nothing really spectacular and exiting ever happened when things were O.K.
People of power in our society want to keep the knowledge of power and privilege to themselves; they don’t want everyone to understand how power really works. That’s why, through the education system, religion, and media, they box people in a way that forces us to see that the opportunities that bring power are things and that they simply happen only if we have connections, if we are “good people,” or simply by luck! They are trying to force our way of thinking in the opposite direction so that we would feel power a distant opportunity that only the privileged few could have, an evil thing. What we can’t have, we consider evil so we could sleep better at night. But this is not the case. Wake up!
In reality, this fear-based and passive archetype is very counter-productive and drastically limits our options.
The truth is, there are golden opportunities in everything that happens in life.
But, you need to have the right mindset to see them! It’s only a question of finding the right angle.
Here is a tip for starters: each time society labels an event as “bad,” your gold detector should start beeping; the more freighting the label is, the faster it should beep.
I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but there are a couple of reasons for that:
- 90% of people seeing something “bad” will stay away from it out of fear. The reason for them doing so is because they have been conditioned to look for what’s “good” and “safe.” This scenario creates a great opportunity for the bold! You don’t want to share the pot of gold with everybody, right?
- All great opportunities come from creating solutions to problems. No problem means no solution, thus no power and money. This is how a capitalist economy works!
- Like all human beings, your energy and motivation doesn’t come from comfort and laziness, but from certain survival mechanisms that are deployed in reaction to vulnerability. That energy, which comes from you being in deep shit, is at least 10 times more powerful than any physical resource you might have.
Think about it a minute: “good” and “bad” are just concepts and paradigms that you use to label events and things in your mind. If you don’t have great success, power and money in your life, then maybe you don’t have it the right way.
Try it today; it’s easy, look at the news, and start looking for gold following the pattern:
- War => Sell weapon.
- Natural disaster => Rebuilding services and supply
- Disease => Diet program, Vitamins, Drugs
- Drugs side effects => More drugs
- Unemployment => Education programs
- Feminism => Red pile and pick-up artist programs
- Criminality => Security services
- Terrorism => Intelligence and surveillance services =>War => Sell weapon.
Society, the people in power, are shaping what’s positive and what’s negative in your mind, but if you observe closely what they do, then you will see that all they do is confirming that they have very different beliefs than those they actually preach.
The question is: What gold is for them?
Answer: Gold is for them what you repulsively call shit!
Opportunity, power, innovation, confidence, strength and money are usually the direct results of pain, fear, anxiety, chaos and problems.
My point here really is this: stop trying to avoid problems at every turn, stop trying to make your ride in this world too smooth because you end up having a life where nothing exciting ever really happens; stop avoiding the things that society flags as “bad.” Just go with the flow and embrace those problems. Learn to see them for what they truly are, camouflaged opportunities waiting to be seized.
What you need to do is become a good shit detector and ,occasionally, a good shit disturber.
Picture this: A powerful country that finances terrorist cells under the rug in order to create a reason to later send their army to destroy everything, the same county then get great rebuilding contracts paid from the submitted country taxpayers’ money; which then ends up totally indebted to the banks of the invading country.
This is no conspiracy theory; it’s just another version of a classic power scheme that has been done countless amount of times since the beginning of humanity.
Powerful people are big-time shit-disturbers, which makes them big-time opportunity-creators. That is how they assert control; they create the problem, and then sell the solution.
It is their game from A to Z. They have full control!
When I analyse patterns in my life, I discover that almost everything that makes me so awesome and unique today is the result of difficulties, “negative events” and chaos!
You know what’s best about chaos? However mankind will try to establish order and peace, nature will always bring back chaos, instability and, consequently, problems!
Powerful and successful people strive for chaos!
It is their bread and butter!
That’s why they are successful!
But then again, “typical” people just don’t get it; they are nice people, they want to do what’s good and avoid problems at all costs. They believe if they are nice and everything runs smoothly, people are going to love them and give them what they need in return.
But, this is could not be farther from the truth!
In fact, they have been well trained to work hard, be docile, only get scraps and be grateful about it.
They have been trained to be blind to power.
You think you don’t get what you deserve in life and want to try something new?
Try the opposite!
The ability to see opportunity in problems, to turn your bad luck into fortune, to turn your weakness into strength are all very powerful skills that can make you nearly invincible and it’s nothing more than going with the flow instead of fighting against it. It’s a very common strategy among those who have a lot of personal power, and it’s quite easy to develop.
Good or bad; it’s only a question of how to look at things.
An awesome book in the subject is Antifragile: Things That Gain from Disorder (Incerto) By Nassim Nicholas Taleb. In this book Nassim explain deeply in a thought provoking way this great strategy for thriving in a uncertain and chaotic world, which is basically to invest in things that profit from volatility, chaos, catastrophe and fear…
Great Book! Also available in audio!
